Is Nemo really free?
Yes — completely free. Connect all your banks, check balances, track spending, set budgets, and get alerts at no cost. No trial period, no feature locks, no credit card required.
How does Nemo connect to my bank?
Nemo connects to your bank through Teller.io, a secure banking API that supports 7,000+ financial institutions. Teller handles the bank connection — Nemo never sees or stores your bank login credentials. We don't keep your financial data on our servers either; everything is processed locally on your device.
Where does my bank data go?
Nowhere. Your balances, transactions, account numbers, and credentials stay on your computer. We don't have servers that process your financial data. The only thing that leaves your machine is the prompt sent to your chosen AI provider for understanding your questions — and that never includes your raw bank data.
Can Nemo make transactions or move money?
No — Nemo is read-only by design. It can check balances, track spending, categorize transactions, and give you financial insights, but it never initiates payments, transfers, or any changes to your accounts. This is intentional: read-only access means zero risk of unintended transactions.
Which banks are supported?
Over 7,000 banks and financial institutions across the US and Canada, including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citibank, Capital One, US Bank, PNC, TD Bank, Truist, Ally, USAA, Navy Federal, Schwab, Huntington, BMO, and thousands of local banks and credit unions. If your bank has online banking, Nemo can almost certainly connect to it.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes — Android and iOS apps are coming soon. The mobile app connects securely to your desktop Nemo agent, so you can check balances, ask questions about your spending, and get alerts from your phone. Your bank data still stays on your desktop — the mobile app is a secure remote control, not a separate data store.
What operating systems does Nemo support?
Windows 10 and above today. Mac is coming soon. Android and iOS mobile apps are in development — they'll let you connect to your desktop agent from your phone.
Can I connect multiple banks?
Yes — connect as many banks, credit cards, and financial accounts as you want. Nemo gives you a unified view across all of them. Ask questions that span multiple banks ("What's my total balance across all accounts?") and get one clear answer.
Do I need an API key or developer account?
No. Download the app and start connecting your banks immediately. For AI-powered conversations about your finances, you'll need an API key from an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) — but connecting and viewing your bank data works out of the box.
